Celebrate Digital Inclusion Week at the New Haven Free Public Library

Celebrated annually, Digital Inclusion Week (DIW) is dedicated to making sure that all individuals can participate in the digital world, regardless of ability, age, race, gender, or zip code.  This year, Digital Inclusion Week runs from October 2-6, 2023, are we can’t wait to celebrate!

Here’s what’s happening at NHFPL:

Affordable Connectivity Program Kickoff with CFaL

October 2, Time TBA | Wilson Branch Library

NHFPL and the City of New Haven Office of Economic Development have partnered with Concepts for Adaptive Learning (CFaL) to offer citywide Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) information and sign up sessions. The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC program that helps connect families and households struggling to afford internet service. The ACP offers at least a $30 monthly discount on broadband internet service for qualifying households.

Thursday Oct 5, 3-5 PM | Ives Lower Level Technology Center

The Techs are in! The NHFPL IT team is hosting a walk-in tech help clinic for anyone with any burning tech question. Tell us what tech problems you’re facing. Need help with your phone? Have a question about keeping your information secure? We’re here to find out what you’re struggling with and figure out a way to help!

Adult Computer Basics Class: Mouse and Keyboard

Thursday, October 5, 5:30-6:30 pm | Ives Computer Classroom

Learn the basics of operating a mouse and get an introduction to the functions of the keyboard. This class for beginners and requires no previous computer experience. Space is limited and registration is highly recommended.
