Create a plan for starting or managing your business or nonprofit with Gale Business: Plan Builder!

A white desk has two plants and a decorative art piece on top. The computer in the middle shows the login screen for Gale Business: Plan Builder. A wide orange stripe is behind it with arrows pointing toward the screen.

About Gale Business: Plan Builder

Are you in the beginning stages of your business or nonprofit or looking to fine-tune your business plan and scope? Then, Gale Business: Plan Builder is the perfect resource for you! Whether you’re a for-profit or non-profit entity, Gale has premade, fill-in templates that are specifically tailored to help you grow, manage, and optimize your organization. With this resource, easily turn your ideas into a clear, well-defined plan that will help gain capital and grow your enterprise.

Gale takes you step-by-step through the different sections of a business plan and provides guides and references to help you along the way.  Gale has sections devoted to writing a Break-Even Analysis and Bylaws and Strategic Plans. It also provides in-depth Financial Projections spreadsheets, that help to organize your finances and highlight important metrics; like Capital Expenditures and Fundraising.

Each section is broken down into worksheets that can be completed at your own pace or edited at a later time. We recommend not rushing through creating a document like this. A business plan is a living document that takes time to create and can change throughout the lifecycle of your organization. Gale Business: Plan Builder is an easy-to-use and intuitive resource that can help at any stage of your operation.

How to Access?

Gale Business: Plan Builder is available to all NHFPL patrons who are connected to the library’s Wi-Fi or are using an NHFPL computer. You will need to create an individual profile before you use it for the first time so you can easily pick up where you left off! Find this resource on our website in the Digital Toolbox or by using this link.

If you would like help with Gale Business: Plan Builder, or any other business or nonprofit-related questions, please feel free to schedule an appointment with our Business and Nonprofit Librarian, Alexandria Robison, or our Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Rosalind Zavras.
