We are excited to announce the launch of our Stories of Home in the Elm City project this summer, inviting New Haven residents to share their personal stories of settlement in the city.
The New Haven Free Public Library (NHFPL) is initiating an oral history project that will allow individuals to be interviewed and document their experiences for the Library’s archives, with the potential for these stories to be made available online.
We invite you to chat with us and share your unique journey of becoming a New Havener, whether you have deep-rooted ties or are just starting your life here. Your childhood memories, educational experiences, and stories about building a family and community are invaluable to us. If you’re willing to share your story, we would be excited to connect with you this summer!
