A wide variety of meeting spaces are available in all our locations for community organizations and businesses to hold meetings and events. Wireless connectivity is available everywhere, and all branches except Ives Main Library offer on-site parking. (Ives Main Library parking is metered on-street, and Yale Lot #51, on Temple Street across the street from the library, opens to the public 4-7:30 pm on weekdays and all day on Saturdays.)
All rooms are handicapped accessible.
IVES MAIN LIBRARYFees: Tutor rooms are free and accommodate up to three people who need a quiet room for study, tutoring, etc. Other spaces are available for $25 per 2-hour session (after hours extra). To reserve your space, please contact Pat Doerr at 203-946-8137. Following is a brief description of available spaces.
LOWER LEVEL
Community Room
Seats about 75, and includes built-in projector and screen, laptop connection at podium with microphone, kitchen, and separate ramp entrance from Temple Street.
Performing Arts
Open space, includes our Exhibit Area (adding an art backdrop to your event!) and seats about 100. Arrangements can be made for projection and microphone.
AV Meeting Room
Enclosed room seats about 25. Arrangements can be made for projection.
In Technology Center:
Computer Lab includes nine computer workstations and eno white board.
Board Room, newly renovated room includes eno white board, conference table that seats 20, and lounge area with sofas, upholstered chairs and coffee tables. Perfect for board meetings and video conferencing.
Tutor Rooms (free), capacity three people. Our tutor rooms may be reserved for same-day use. (Literacy tutors have first dibbs!)
FIRST FLOOR
Transition Center
Open area with access to the terrace overlooking the New Haven Green, seats up to 30. Perfect for fine weather events!
Meeting Room
Room with large windows overlooking Temple Street, seats up to 30, and includes small breakout room.
SECOND FLOOR
Children’s Program Room
Room adjacent to Children’s Department, seats up to 30, includes screen and small sink/refrigerator. A good choice for meetings that include parents with small children–you provide the supervision, we provide library books, games, etc.

FAIR HAVEN BRANCH
Please contact Betsy Goldberg, Branch Manager, at 203.946.8115, to reserve space for your meeting or event. There is no charge for the use of these rooms, and parking is available in our lot.
Community Program Room seats 65
Computer classroom contains 6 computer stations
Two Tutor rooms accommodate 4 and 8 people.
MITCHELL BRANCH

Community Program Room seats 30, includes LCD projector, portable screen, dvd player, small kitchenette.
Exhibit space is available for community use.
STETSON BRANCH

Two rooms are available: one seats 50 and the other seats 20. Equipment includes kitchenette, LCD projector, dvd player, screen, whiteboard, TV.
WILSON BRANCH

Community Program Room, seats 90, includes kitchenette
Family Place Room, accommodates up to 25 children or 15 adults
2 Conference Rooms, seating capacity of 10 each
Atrium, open area that seats about 90
Exhibit space is available for community use.
Piano is free to use upon sign-up, subject to availability of Atrium it is housed in.
