A new home at the Q House.

The Willis K. Stetson Branch of the New Haven Free Public Library is facing a moment of
tremendous opportunity: a brand-new home at the Q House

With a 60% increase in space, investments in cutting-edge technology, and new resources for everyone—children, families, teens and adults—the new Stetson Library will be better-equipped to meet the evolving needs of the New Haven community and serve as a new center to learn, collaborate, and celebrate our heritage.

Stetson Library: The Next Chapter is a community-wide campaign to raise $2 million to move Stetson Branch Library into the Q House and create a new center of learning and exploration for the people of New Haven. Thanks to city and state investment, funding to construct the facility is already secure, but we need your support to outfit the new Stetson Library with an expanded collection, improved community resources and state-of-the-art technology, modular furnishings and aesthetic appeal.

Your support will create a new home for Stetson Library and builds a lasting legacy for the New Haven Free Public Library system by growing and strengthening our endowment.

“We don’t just need a place for books — we need a space for people to learn, to be challenged, to come together. A library is not just a home for books, it’s a home for the community.”

– Diane Brown, Stetson Branch Manager
