Ives Teen Center
Open to New Haven youth in 7th through 12th grade or between the ages of 13 and 19 ONLY.
Located on the lower level of Ives Main Library, this busy space is perfect for chilling, hanging out, and checking out what’s happening in the community.
The space offers relaxing seating, engaging staff (need a good book suggestion?) SmartTVs, computers, crafts and games. Check out fun programs focusing on Wellness, Technology, Crafting, Arts, Culture, and more!

Open after school and Saturday afternoons, staffing permitting.

Teen Center Use Agreement:
I will respect library property and the property of the other teens in the center.
I will keep my hands to myself (including hugs, play fighting, and practical jokes).
I will use respectful language while in the library.
I will pick up my space to keep the teen center clean for others using the space.
I will use an indoor voice and keep media volume low, so folks working on homework and other activities are not disturbed.
I will listen to and follow the instructions of the staff in the room; it is the job of staff to keep everyone safe and uphold the library Code of Conduct for the good of everyone using the library.
Please adhere to the above guidelines or you will be asked to leave the room.

Academic Search Premier encompasses the expansive academic disciplines now being offered in colleges and universities. This resource provides comprehensive content, including PDF backfiles to 1975 for over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references for more than 1,050 titles.
