Metered Street Parking
Ample 2 hour metered street parking on Elm, Grove, College or Temple Streets.
Parking meter hours begin as early as 7:00 am and are in effect to 9:00 pm Monday – Saturday (excluding holidays). Please check street signs for meter time durations and hours of enforcement.

Hybrid Parking Permits
The City of New Haven offers free metered parking for hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles registered in New Haven. Owners have to visit City Hall, 165 Church Street, with proof that the vehicle is a hybrid or alternative fuel vehicle and currently registered in New Haven, to receive a decal which will be attached to the vehicle. UPDATE! Yale’s Lot 51, located on Temple Street at Wall Street, is available after 5:30 pm for the public. Yale’s Lot 51 has capacity for about 70 cars.
