NHFPL Locations Host Community Memorial Art Collaboration Diary Disks

The New Haven Free Public Library is proud to have our locations host Diary Disks – a project of of the Design Brigade project, initiated by Yale Center for Collaborative Arts & Media and Atelier Cho Thompson. These Diary Disks are circular blackboards placed around New Haven to gather the hopes, stories, and memories of the community and to be a memorial to the shared experiences of the community. The project began in May 2020 when the City of New Haven approached Design Brigade with the idea of creating a memorial for those affected by Covid-19 through the lens of social justice.
