SUMMER LEARNING FOR KIDS

 
 

What are YOUR plans this summer? Want to read lots of good books? We can help with that! Plan on going to a museum or a play? We can help with that. Want to have some really great fun? We can help with that, too! We know you’re busy, and we know you can have fun and learn everywhere-so this summer, you can earn prizes for reading and more! Earn points for reading, for coming to library programs, and for doing things in your community like visiting local or state parks and museums! This year Summer Learning starts June 9 and ends September 3.

 
 
 
 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Be under 12 years old and ready to have fun! If you are over 12, visit our Teen Page for details about your program!
  2. Pick up or print a Summer Learning Log (available in both English and Spanish) to keep track of your progress.
  3. Do the following activities and tell us about them so we can stamp your log for you:

 
      One hour of Reading = 1 point
      Visit a local or state park, a museum or play, or a
      community event= 1 point
      Come to a Library Program = 1 point

When you complete 10 points, come to your local branch for a FREE T-SHIRT or BOOK!
When you complete 20 points, come to your local branch for the GRAND PRIZE: a book bag filled with school supplies or a special prize for children ages 4 and under.
