Summer Learning Challenges for Young Minds

For Information about the Teen Summer Challenge, click HERE.

For kids 12 and under see the details below.

Are you ready to read lots of great books this summer? With NHFPL’s Summer Learning Challenge you can keep track of what you read and earn great prizes! You can sign up online for the challenge starting June 1st but only minutes logged after June 17th will count for the challenge.

This year, if you’re under 12 years old, you can Build Your Own Summer Learning Challenge! Pick the goal that’s right for you: 200 minutes (children 5 and under only), 400 minutes (children 5 and under only), 500 minutes, 600 minutes, 800  minutes, 1000 minutes, 1,500 minutes or 2,000 minutes. Our challenge goes from June 17th through August 31st. If you sign up by July you can think about your goal as the number of minutes you want to read a week plus a zero on the end, for example if you want to try to read 40 minutes a week, pick 400 minutes.

When you reach the halfway point to your goal you can come into your local library and choose a free book! If you’ve reached your goal by the end of the summer you can come in and get a free t-shirt!

For all of our Summer Learning Challenge you can sign up online and track your reading using any computer, smartphone or tablet by visiting https://wandooreader.com/nhfpl/kids2017

If you used Wandoo last summer or for our Nutmeg reading challenge you can use the same username and password. If you can’t remember yours ask at your local library and they can look you up!

Click here for more details on how to sign up online.

Or come in to your local branch to sign up!
