A series of interactive workshops, geared towards 8-12 year olds, sponsored by the Shubert Theater. Pre-registration is required. Call 203-946-8129 to register. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to read the book in advance. Discussion: Chapter 14 Activity: The City of New Haven’s Parks and Recreation Department will bring salamanders to the session and talk about amphibians and reptiles. Activity: Make newt key chains

In partnership with students and faculty of Yale School of Medicine we will present a Community Health Fair for all ages. Blood pressure checks, information tables, giveaways, zumba classes, line dancing, and more! Call (203) 946-6786 for more information.

Write a postcard from Matilda back to the Wormwoods telling about her new life. Decorate the front of each postcard.

(Meets monthly) Learn how to use different apps to share your stories, music, and ideas with the world. We’ll supply the iPads, you bring the ideas! Ages 8 to 14.

Monsters at the Library! | Sat., May 16th | Ives Main | 2:00-3:00
