Join us for this amazing chance to learn how to build and program your own LEGO robots! Each week features a new project. There will be a month of programs at each branch, currently we are at Mitchell for the month of April. Space is limited to 16 kids, registration details vary branch to branch. One Saturday a month at each location families and friends are welcome to come to a Robot Rodeo for everyone to show off their skills. Ages 7-12. Sponsored by Alexion.

Celebrate Wonder Woman Day by becoming a super hero yourself! Design your own symbol and gauntlets, play games and take super pictures!

Help us release ladybugs in our garden and explore reptiles with Park Ranger Harry. There will also be crafts, popsicles, and summer reading signups! Fun for the whole family!

See this classic film about a mouse who emigrates from Russia to the US and his struggles to adjust and find his family. Shown first in English, then in Spanish.
Purple Crayon Day | Sat. June 10 | Ives Main | 3:00-4:00
An anonymous donor has given 18,000 copies of Harold and the Purple Crayon to be given to the children of Connecticut through the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Come listen to the book, get your own copy, and pick up a purple crayon to help us create our own giant drawing world like Harold! All ages welcome.

Register for summer reading, try for some great raffle prizes, and meet some very interesting animals from Animal Embassy. Snakes, lizards, and even a Mexican Salamander called an axolotl!

A Purple Party! | Sat. June 17 | Mitchell | 3:00
Join us in reading and celebrating the 1955 classic children’s book, Harold and the Purple Crayon with a PURPLE PARTY! Wear a purple outfit, make a purple art project, decorate cookies with purple frosting. Each family will go home with a special edition of the book by Crockett Johnson, sponsored by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. All ages welcome!

Creating Musical Readers
A violist from the New Haven Symphony Orchestra will read Mole Music and bring the songs in the book to life. Children will have a chance to try a violin. Ages 4 to 10, no registration required.
