SPECIAL EVENTS
Digital Literacy for Early Learners “A Primer for Parents” | Thurs. Feb. 9, 16, 23 & March 9 | Ives Main | 5:30-7:30
Learn how to prepare your child, age birth to 5, to start kindergarten with the critical skills they need to learn and succeed in school. This free four part workshop will cover: child development, encouraging learning, finding teachable moments in play, making the most of reading time, what to do with your child when you turn off the TV, and using library resources and websites that emphasize education. Light snacks and childcare for children 3 and up provided. There will be a raffle at the last meeting including an Android tablet as first prize! In collaboration with Concepts for Adaptive Learning. The promising young cellist students of Mr. Philip share their talents with the community in an intimate studio recital. Come hear beautiful music in the children’s area!
